Blood Test Day before symptons
Question: Is it best results for blood test when you have it done the day before anything apperas or during they are there? Simple question for sum one... Answer: For most people, as long as you have had the virus in your system for a while (it can take 3 weeks-4 months for antibodies to be detected in most people, some people even take longer), you can get a blood test at any time. If you actually have symptoms one would think your antibody level would be higher and that there would be a lower chance of a false negative (but that is pure speculation). If you actually have bumps coming on, if you get to the doc when they are still fresh, they can do a culture, and if it comes up positive is about as conclusive as you can get (sometimes it can still come up negative if they have trouble getting the culture to work). Answer: culture? ( i take this means the bump spot or blister ) mine dont seem to be there any more im sure, this all happened over the weekend i noticed small redish marks then went to red type rash exactley like my thrush and now you cant really see anything with the bare eye. Answer: Yeah, you are right, the culture part is for the actual sores or blisters. If you actually have a lesion of some sort (and they are new - after a couple of days it's hard to culture) you can get it cultured in addition to the blood test. A positive culture is extremely conclusive (although a negative result does not have a lot of meaning since the cultures are often hard to grow). Since you have had thrush type problems before, you really need to get diagnosed to clear things up. Herpes symptoms and thrush symptoms can have many similarities, and many people ignore their herpes, thinking it's just a case of thrush that goes away in a couple of days with yeast medication (when in reality it goes away cause they have relatively mild outbreaks that heal quickly). In light of that, it really is good to get tested just to make sure. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
