Hello everyone...been reading here and thought I would post.

The past week I have felt as if I had a yeast infection. No burning when urinating, but a little itchy. I was taking some over the counter medicine, and everything seemed to clear up. This week I also got my period, which may have helped to wash everything out. However, today I went to my gyno just to be sure. Right under my clitoris, I have what looks like a tiny scrape/cut. It is sore when it is touched, but does not bother me otherwise. I have no other sores, blisters, etc anywhere on or around my vaginal area. Just this tiny cut/scrape looking thing...And it's SO small...I have to get a flashlight and a heavy duty mirror to see it! She did a swab of the area for Herpes and put me on Valtrax. She said that could be from a number of different things, but assumed it was Herpes.

My only problem is, I am so confused...I have been dating my current boyfriend for over 2 years now, and before we became intimate with one another, we both were tested (STDs, blood test, and for herpes) and everything was negative. Now, needless to say we are both perplexed at how I could have possibly come down with it. He is the first and only person I have had sex with. Any help/advice?

You should probably get your results very soon. It doesn't take long for results from a swab, very different than blood testing.
I'm surprised she didn't give you the results of your swab test right away.
My doc did the swab test, left the room, and came right back with the results.

I'm wondering why you would have thought you needed testing for std's and herpes before you were intimate with your boyfriend if he is your first?
