My question... can two people infected continue to have unprotected sex and be fine since we both already have it?

The thing about having sex unprotected is, if one partner has the symptoms, then both will have the symptoms and continuing to have unprotected sex with symptoms means that both partners will have a continuous outbreak.

My suggestion is just common sense, don't have sex while one of you has an ob. Go ahead and heal up real good, then you may or may not have un-protected sex.
