just curious...

Question:
what exactly do the sores look like in the genital area?..i have little pink bumps that have been there since about May..(that was the 1st time I ever looked, and it was a month since I had sex)..and little little tiny white ones. But neither of them itch or burn or anything. The only time it burns when I pee, is if I look and poke at the bumps and directly go to the bathroom. But it only hurts for point 2 seconds when I start to pee. Even if I wait 30 seconds, and then go pee, it doesn't hurt at all. I've done a lot of reading on the internet, and it has led me here. I was reading one thing about genital warts..and that scared me sooo much. I'm really at a loss. I feel so embarassed and so ashamed, and I don't even know if I actually have something, or if its just the way my body is...any insight would be wonderful...

When you have an outbreak, what happens in the genital area?..

Thanks a lot everyone!..

Answer:
Hi,

If you pee and it hurts, I don't think it's the way your body is.
If you have herpes in genital area, yes it hurts when you pee. If you have bladder infection or something, it would also hurt. If you have some kind of sore in that area (either STD or not), it would hurt....

So many possibilities...
I think you should go see a doctor to find out what it is.
If it's bothering you, there is no reason for you to wait and see... right?

Doctors can solve your pain. And you will feel better...

Best wishes

Faith

Answer:
yeah, ditto what Faith said...

I don't think HSV typically hangs around for 8 months, at least not the same bumps... I suppose if you had sequential persistent outbreaks then maybe but...

Are the bumps always in the exact same place, or do they go away and different bumps appear????

Sounds like maybe something else... Do the Dr. thing, you'll feel better..

Answer:
the bumps have stayed in the same place..that's why i'm thinking that its just the way my body is b/c i never checked until AFTER i had sex, so they could have been there my whole life and i just never knew...ya know what i mean...

Yeah, its hard to say... If you haven't had ANY of the other symptoms (swollen lymph glands etc)

My money would be on it not being herpes... But peace of mind is a great thing, and I would still go see a Dr. Even if its not herpes, it could be something else that you would want to treat.
