Question:
I have a single sore between my penis and scrotum, it doesn't hurt or itch, and i've had no flu-like symptoms.

One thing I will say, is that it is FIRM. It feels like a rubber BB underneath my skin with a tiny ulcer on top.

I'm getting tested tomorrow, but I'm so freakin anxious. But thanks to your forum, I can see that it's not the end of the world if it is H.

...days to get the resulst but you got it, its not the end of the world and your doing the right thing by getting tested right away!! So try to enjoy the weekend and try not to forcast what it is. Unless your pyschic there is not way for you to know. Try not to entertain those "what if" thoughts or the good ol' "only if" "i wish" you get the jist.. not just relating to herpes but in all aspects of life they are pretty pointless and only hurt ourselves (and perhaps those in the immediate vicinty who love us). Try and concentrate on right now. What time is it right now? Who do you love who you haven't spoken to in a long time, give 'em a call. Go out tonight if you can and have fun with someone you haven't (a friend) hung out with in a while ...today is all we really have so lets make the best of it ...plus you might need one of those lifeline friends to confide in, who knows? And if you don't feel there is anyone you'd confide this in (near you) WE'RE RIGHT HERE IF (BIG IF) YOU NEED US!!! I am fOUR shaw!!

Most cases "NOT ALL" herpes lasts 2-4 weeks usually and it hurts to pee stand or sit. Its not true for everyone but you should go get tested like memy said and try to cheer up some and not dwell on it till you know you have it. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

well the doctor was convinced that it wasn't herpes. he told me he's seen 1000s of cases, and that every symptomatic case he's seen the lesion will hurt if it's stretched or poked at, he even recommended against testing.

Apparently I got it from some dry humping, lol. He gave me some antibiotics and sent me on my way, he even advised against a blood or culture test...

I'm still paranoid though, and I have one final question.

How long does it take before the blisters turn into ulcers for you guys?

Well......... mine usually last one week to ten days then go pop and start looking nasty and very very very sore!

I think that that is shady your doctor wouldn't test you for something you are concerned about. Its you body not your doctors; what a jerk (IN MY OPINION!!!)


Prior to going to the doctor and getting diagnoised I had seen a different doctor and told her I had some discomfort and was scared I had herpes. She said, I don't see anything down here to be questionable. Well, this visit cost me 40 dollars but leaving confident I didn't have herpes I got a couple more months with my loser boyfriend who left as soon as I found out I did have herpes (this is not the only reason I think he's a loser AND I can't believe I still even think about the jerk...I digress SORRY)

If you trust your doctor you should go on with life and you hopefully love it.

If yo are still paranoid perhaps you should find a good doctor who will test you, most likely via blood test. But make sure you investigate what blood test you want and make sure that is the one your doctor would administer.
