hi iv just recently been diagnosed with hsv1 after receiving oral of my bf who is prone to coldsores. silly but i just didnt know! started symptoms on monday by tuesday was at emergency docs because of the pain where i was diagnosed and given aciclovir which i thought would help! the pain has slowly been getting worse since then! lastnight was so sore i was after going a&e for morphine! also lookin in the mirror lasnight it looked asif all the little cysts had popped which i read is part of the healing process so even though the pain was severe i was thinking it was the peak and would start getting better from then! but looking again today more new cysts have appeared! (i thought aciclovir was supposed to prevent this??) even though today im not crying in pain im still really, really sore and cant really walk (havent left the couch unless its to go sit in a bath and pee!) i havent been able to go to work since monday (now thur) and im really panicking as my job is very important and other people are covering my shifts (think im just vomiting) please help!!
what i really really want to know is how long will the pain take to go because i really feel like i cant cope with this anymore. any advice would be appreciated xxxxxxxx

I know the pain can be excrutiating. Have you taken ibuprofen, that helps me alot? Maybe lie down rather than sit up? That may help also. Everybody is different as far as healing goes. I hope you feel well soon.
