Welcome to www.thanktoday.com !!!

I've seen 6 Doctors, MEN chime in please!

Question:
I'll try and summarize...July 24th, 07 I had PROTECTED sex with a condom. About a week later I noticed one small spot on the upper right side of my shaft that kind looked like a scab. I didn't think to much of it since I might have masturbated to much. The next night I took a look and noticed a few more little "water blisters" clear and slightly raised, they didn't hurt, they didn't look red, they didn't itch. I went to planned parent hood the next day and the (1st one) women looked at them (she was old and didn't look like her vision was good) and said NOPE that is NOT herpes. I asked if she was sure and she said yes. She said "In my 20 years of doing this I've never had anyone with herpes NOT have sore glands". I asked her if she could test it and she said I there is nothing open and I can't test it, I was confused. She tested me for everything else though and it all came back Neg. the next week. I was somewhat relieved and she told me that is was Molluscum Contagiosum. She said that it was treatable. So the next day I went to the urgent care place by my house and told the (2nd one)Doctor my story and she looked at it and said ok let's freeze them. (it didn't hurt to badly). Within about 4 days I notice some more, so I went back to urgent care to see another (3rd Doc) get them frozen and he really did a number on me he pressed on them pretty hard! After a few days skin was peeling and oozing, but I thought I was on the road to recovery. Things were healing up pretty well. I didn't feel as if I had ANY other symptoms besides the nervousness and not being able to sleep. (so I was tired and my heart was racing all the time-stressed out) But things started to feel better. On August 15, I felt like I had to urinate often, I went back to the the 3rd Doc and he said your just nervous and I told him that they never tested me for herpes and retold him the story. He said he was pretty sure I didn't have and he reluctantly said he would get me a blood test and a urine test. A week later I called and everything was normal. And still I felt like I had this "pressure" not pain to urinate between my naval and penis (like having a full bladder or when your really excited when your playing hid and go seek when your a kid) I made an appointment to see my (4th Doc) primary physician (who I just started with that day). I saw him on Aug. 24th and I told him the whole story, he somewhat alleviated my thoughts and gave me an oral antibiotic and shot for gonorrhea and chlamydia just to appease me. (even though I tested neg. and I KNEW i didn't need them, somehow he thought he was doing me a favor) So I was feeling pretty good until Sept. 21 however when I saw a small little water blister again on one of the spots that was treated for molluscum contagiosum before. Since it was on a scar it was a tiny bit red around the edges. It didn't hurt or itch but I was scared as hell and wanted to get rid of it, so I popped it. I thought I'll put some Abreva on it...and within 5 days it was gone, again it didn't hurt, itch, or get infected. As soon as I initially saw it though my body started to react (freaking out). My right testicle has been hurting and I was really tired (I think that was because I wasn't sleeping and I was stressing my self out). I went to urgent care once again (5th doc) and told him the story and he looked and things and said he couldn't culture anything since it was healed over but was 99.9% sure I didn't have it, but would give me a blood test for HIV and herpes. I have not gotten the results back but he did refer me to an infectious disease clinic (that will be Doc 6) and a mental health clinic. (only because I can't talk to anyone about this) I had him prescribe me some sleeping pills and that's helped me so I wasn't so tired during the work day.

So right now,
NO sores
Slight discomfort in my right testicle towards the tubal area
Strange feeling like I have to urinate more often (but not as bad as the beginning on Aug.24th)
Doesn't hurt or burn when I urinate

What do you think? I going crazy here, I really need some responses.

Answer:
i think its herpes...get the blood results.........and if negative at first, get restested in 6 more weeks. Definitely sounds like herpes to me.........sorry you had to go through a bunch of people who apparently had no real familiarity with the truth about herpes and how it can and does present in a variety of "non textbook" sort of ways. Hope you get to the bottom of this, but to me it definitely seems like herpes.

Answer:
I got the tests back, came back <.87 which is a HUGE jump from the last time I got tested .07 for HSV-1. I've pretty much accepted it now, now MALES? What should I expect, what have been your experiences?

Answer:
Well, you never know. We're all different.
*My* opinion only is that you had a pretty mild first outbreak. As you've probably read somewhere on here...the first is usually the worst by far. My guess is you'll be one of the people who has very infrequent outbreaks - if any at all. Definitely don't stress over this. Read a LOT on this site just to get familiar with everything. It's not rocket science, and it's not the end of the world either.
