OB's Left Untreated?!?
Question: Does any one else out there go on w/untreated OB's? I have a mild OB, but I haven't taken any medicine or applied anything topical. The symptoms aren't so bad... and I actually think that me not treating the OB is because I still haven't really faced the reality of the big "H". Does anyone else at there share this experience? Or anyone who can give me some feedback? Am I asking for trouble by not taking care of my OB's? Answer: No, you aren't asking for trouble. If your ob's heal without treatment - I'd consider you lucky. Answer: I think sometimes we underestimate our body's ability to fight off disease and infection on its own, given the opportunity. It's almost become a knee-jerk reaction in our society to run for the pharmacy every time we get a pain or sniffle, a philosophy seemingly encouraged by our medical practitioners who seem to think a prescription to mask symptoms is the equivilent of a cure. The fact is, with some exceptions, of course, our own antibodies are magnificent warriors against most foreign invaders, herpes included. Unless your symptoms are so severe that you simply can't tolerate them, there's no reason to pump unneeded drugs into your system that, ultimately, will make your kidneys work harder to remove. Medically, herpes requires no treatment whatsoever. If you can get along without drugs, all the better for you and your body. Answer: You , my dear friend, are one of the lucky ones whose immune system is quite "kick ass" and thus, doing what it is suppose to do. Don't take meds or use topical treatments unless you absolutely have to. (ie. you are in great pain, the outbreak is spreading, etc.) Let your lovely wonderful body do its job. The only thing I suggest is to keep the area very clean. That is it. Good ole soap and water should do the trick....perhaps clean with some hydrogen peroxide directly ON the sore, but if it doesn't bother you, then I wouldn't even worry about that. Eat good, and apparently, just keep on doing whatever it is you are doing!!! Sorry you have the herps...but glad you are doing so well!!!! Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
