New to herpes
Question: I'm a 19 year old male who's been with the same person for 3 years. Neither of us have shown any signs of herpes till this point. Earlier this week I had an out break of several cold sores on my lips and near my mouth. Though it was shaking it wasn't something to lose sleep over. Two days ago I noticed a red blotch on my penis. It wasn't itchy unless handled and hasn't grown any larger since then. I've been careful as possible when it comes to washing my hands and handling that area. I suppose I'm just looking for an opinion. Could it have show signs this quickly? And if it isn't progressing could it still be herpes? Answer: So are you asking if it was possible you infected your genital area from your cold sores? I'm assuming these cold sores were the first you've ever had correct? But are you sure you didn't already have the virus just never showed symptoms? Same can go with your partner. she might have the virus orally and during oral sex gave it to you genitally. So in short yes, it could be. You obviously know for sure you have cold sores and therefore oral herpes, but as far as the blotch on your penis, it might or might not be. It would be best to go to a dr. asap and find out for sure. It doesn't have to grow or anything, herpes can show up in many forms. But then again, it could be anything from an allergic reaction, to a rash from being rubbed on something. So just go get it checked out to be sure. Answer: I'm sorry I guess I should have been more specific. My question is, is it likely that I have spread the virus from my face to my crotch even with frequent hand washing ect? And would it be showing symptoms so quickly within the first week. What it looks like on my face and what it looks like down there are two completely different things. Answer: Is it possible, yes. Is it probable, no. If you read my post "can you get it this way..." it kind of answers this. What you're asking is not likely because from what I've been told by investigating on my own, is that it's not too easy to transmitt to yourself, and you mentioned that you are being extremely careful and washing often which would greatly reduce the risk. My question to you is, did you recieve oral sex recently? Because you might have been infected in both areas during the same encounter. In other words, your partner might've been shedding or had a cold sore and kissed you (which explains the cold sores) and performed oral sex on you (which could explain the spot on you penis) But as far as you transmitting it from your cold sores to your penis. I doubt that's the case. Answer: Fortunetly I have not, My partner does not enjoy doing that and is firmly against it. Answer: does anyone know if you can pass herpes from a cold sore on the lip to you genitals i they were licked and the cold sore didnt touch you???? Answer: I'm pretty sure it can, i'm not sure but from what i've heard it's in your saliva. Answer: great i hope not Answer: i stuck a needle in it and tried to pop it cause i thought it was a pimple but it bleed and no white shit came out Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
