Am worried I have it- help!

Question:
Hi everyone
Basically I had sex for the first time with a new partner on friday night.
We used a condom & it was fine (didnt break) we had unprotected oral sex though.
On monday I noticed a small abrasion type area, looked like rough skin, similar to a friction burn. Its located on the skin near the outside lips, but not on them, so its on normal skin- not mucous membrane.
Now it has developed so the skin is broken, its in a rough circle shape. Its a bit tender but not sore, and its slightly itchy. There is no fluid coming out of it, and there is no 'head' the whole area is just broken skin, but not bleeding.
I am totally freaking out thinking its herpes! I called a helpline & they said it sounds like thrush?? But its not on mucous membranes so how can it be thrush?
The soonest I can see a doc is monday, until then I am going totally crazy, keep reading stuff on the net that is freaking me out
please help, do you think my symptoms sound like herpes??

Answer:
Just to clarify, I meant lips as in vaginal, its about an inch to the side from them if that makes sense

Answer:
it could very well be herpes...but try not to panic until the doctor sees you. Also, please get a blood test specific to herpes which if negative at first, and then positive when you get retested in 6 weeks, means it is a newly aquired infection most times. So, if you are interested in possibly trying to figure out if you had it and didnt know previously, sometimes the blood test can be an indicator of time. However, if you are positive right away it could definitely be that you had it before and just never had an outbreak....friction can trigger outbreaks so its a possibility. Also, if you just got it, it can take weeks to a few months for antibodies to show up in the blood so just get a blood test either way and retest in 6 weeks if negative at first. It might just be an irritation but it definitely sounds like it could be herpes based on its location, shape, appearance, etc. Half of people with herpes do not ever get any typical looking symptoms that people associate as being herpes. For many outbreaks are just redness, cuts, rashy areas, or skin that looks like it has a friction burn, or even just a little rough, etc. so just wait and see what the doc. says. I know its killing you but please dont panic yet. Hopefully it is not herpes but educate yourself, dont obsess, and try and be ready either way for the possibility.

Answer:
That is exactly the way my first ob was except no itching. Unfortunately I waited a few days before I got to the dr's and the swab test was negative.

It was very painful and took about 5 days to be completely gone and there was no scab or oozing. To me it looked like a cigarette burn that had the burned layer sheered off.

I had to wait for 2 years for another ob to occur. It was very different the second time and was more like thrush but with 3 small blisters. I had it swabbed that same day and it was a positive result.

Answer:
Now it has kind of scabbed over, but the cab isnt 'dry' if that makes sense? Its like a normal scab after its been in water? Like its soft and white.
Still nothing coming out, its painful when I walk, it chafes on my trousers
I really am so worried..
Test is on monday, Im going to GUM clinic so hopefully they'll know what they're doing
If it is herpes & I only recently got it, I assume my blood test will be negative? So what will they be able to do now to tell me a definite answer? Do you think a visual diagnosis is possible & if so is it 100% accurate?
