Question:
Hi my ex brought home H1 bout three months ago, nice of him huh, :( hence the word "ex", anyways found out as he was all blistery, he got blood test = H1, so I got tested and sure enough the b*st*rd gave it to me, anyways if its H1 how come its affected my downstairs?

So confused, I only get slight tingle,no blisters etc but then also noticed lumps like under my skin?(down there),dont look like pimples more like a swollen bump thing? weird to explain,- (thought it was from rough y'know as got new partner? could it be?) anyways if its H1 how come Im affected downstairs?

Im active and want to be free, now forever restricted arent I? is there anything i can do to get rid of this? or tame it? and wat foods can we eat to also help fight this?, my immune system is shot, i currently have 50+ bruises on my body, bruising really really easily lately, is this to do with H1 too?

Answer:
It sounds like what you've got is genital HSV-1. It happens. HSV-1 isn't exclusive to the oral area, and HSV-2 is not exclusive to the genital area. They PREFER their respective areas, but they don't have to be there. If you do some reading around, you'll start to understand the differences. Try all those links to the left.

As for getting rid of it, i'm afraid you're stuck with it. You can possibly help reduce the frequency and severity of your OBs by using various methods, but the most important thing to know is that everyone is different. I could tell you to eat only bananas for the rest of your life cause that worked for me (silly example), but that doesn't mean it would work for you. Again, read around, and try whatever you think might work for you.

I don't think the bruises on your body are related to HSV, but i have no other idea, so you might consider consulting your doctor.

Educate yourself. It's the first step to feeling comfortable with your virus.

Good luck!

Answer:
the viruses don't change. Hsv1 is always hsv1 and hsv2 is always hsv2. They can infect any part of the human body but usually are contained to oral or genital areas.

Someone who has an oral infection can spread it to a partner when performing oral sex on them if skin contacts infected skin. a genital infection can be passed to other genitals if there is skin to skin contact and from genital to mouth if contact occurs.

If you are having an ob you should get tested by your dr. You should see if your current partner can be tested as well.

Blood tests can tell you which strand of virus it is. It is also possible to have both viruses. A swab of the infected area can usually tell you if it is hsv.

Answer:
I’m sure your question has already been answered, but you can get HSV1 in the genital area. I have HSV in genital area; I have had 2 genital outbreaks and 1 core sore since. HSV1 cannot magically morph into HSV2 and visa versa, but it can spread, so be careful and practice exceptionally good hygiene.
