Dry Skin(anything for this)

Question:
Hello All
Seems that after getting herpes my skin seems to be drier than normal, specially my feet and hands, is there any that you can take to help with this?
Thanks

Answer:
I find Jojoba oil (applied after showering and towelling dry) or pure Vitamin E cream / oil works best for dry skin.

Apricot and Almond oils also work well - oil tends to add moisture to the skin far more effectively than creams. Aloe vera gel is another good one and grows in most gardens so is normally easy to come across.

Over time I have tried and tested many moisturizers, creams, lotions, etc, and found these things help the most for me.

Now that you brought it up, mdc2002us, I've had horrible flaky patches of dry skin in the strangest places (my eyebrows, for one), and it started just about the time I contracted HSV. I always though it was coincidental, but could they be related? It's driving me crazy!

I was also wondering if there was a particular vitiman that you could take to maybe help from the inside of the body while putting on other things such as what support has mentioned with the outside. I use just plain old vaseline on my hands and feet and that seems to work pretty good.
