I'm very worried. I had oral sex with someone for the first time about 5 days ago. And now I noice a bunch of bumps on the back of my tongue. They are not blisters. and they're the same color as my tongue. But I see bumps. I'm so worried. I do have to mention that ever since I've been a little girl I've always suffered of canker sores. But this doesn't look like the canker sores I usually get. Some one help me please.

It's very difficult for us to diagnose you over the internet. Everyone has pink bumps on the back of their tongue, they're taste buds. If yours itch or hurt, they're probably something more serious, however there are a number of things that can cause bumps in your throat. If you're worried, you should see a doctor and demand an HSV test.

Thank you for your reply. I really appreciate it. I went to some clinic and not my gyn or internest cause I felt embarresed. And it was horrible. But one of their doctors did look at me. She said what I saw on my tongue was nothing. But I had also noticed a sore in my genital area. And when she looked at she said it was herpes. She send out a culture and the results will be in a week. I feel horrible and gross. I'm devestaed by this. I think how will I be able to have any relationship with a man again. I'm single at the moment. And look foward to having a family one day. That dream seems so cloudy now.
