Newly diagnosed - it's been 5 months
Question: Just a note for people who are newly diagnosed. I was just like you 5 months ago. I posted some back then about my story so I won't repeat it now. Some thoughts after "living with it" for 5 months. I realized early on that I didn't want my life to revolve around my diagnosis so purposely stopped thinking about it(self distraction in any number of ways). This helped me move on to seeing it as a tiny part of my life, rather than something that defines my life. There are weeks(months?) at a time where I don't think about it. Sure if a random tv show has mention, then I remember, but usually, it's not on my mind any more than if I had cut myself shaving this morning. This is all a long way of saying "it's not the end of the world" and if you're newly diagnosed, don't worry, it gets easier. Answer: Thank you! Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
