Question:
I was recently diagnosed with genital herpes. I feel like there is no reason in the world to keep going. I have a one year old daughter and I am even paranoid I will not wash my hands good enough and give it to her. I got the disease on November 9. I slept with a man for the first time after I made him wait over 9 months. I told him and of course he doesn’t believe but oh well I know it was him. The sore are so painful and in the most awkward places I hate the idea of urinating and showering it is the worst ordeal I have ever faced. How long will these sore last? And they are starting to bleed when I wipe them? Are they getting worse?:(

Hey Lady...I am new here too, and am feeling exactly the same. Tried not drinking as I was so scared to go for a wee! To be honest thought I have found it easier to drink LOTS as the pee is less concentrated. Try sitting in a tepid bath, the clinic recommended putting some salt in it to me.
I too want to know HOW LONG THIS OUTBREAK WILL LAST? I feel dirty, smelly and completely without hope.
I have been taking some anti viral meds for a few days and the pain has subsided.
If you feel like chatting, let me know. And in reference to the deluded partner you had...he is obviously in denial.
