How common is Getting HSV 2 While having HSV1 Never had symptoms on my genital.
Question: Ive had HSV1 my whole life.. how common is getting HSV2 because you have HSV1?? anyone know I had the Herpes Select test both came out positive for HSV1 and HSV2 <5.0 Should I get retested.. ?? What are the symptoms like? I always thought that I didnt have symptoms but now that I think about it .. I did have something on my thigh one time that resembled an ingrown hair..?? It was sore and kinda hurt.. Could that have been a symptom?? Ive never had anything on my genitals.. Answer: There are plenty of people who test positive for HSV 2 and have never had symptoms. Your first outbreak of symptoms is usually pretty noticeable though. Open sores, painful urination, swollen lymph nodes in the thighs and genital region and sometimes flu symptoms. It usually feels like a painful itchy rash. Most research I've read shows likelihood of a false positive with a Gg (type specific) Serology blood test is 5%. So it's small but getting re-tested might make you feel better. And if you are positive and have shown no symptoms, you could still infect someone else. It's currently believed to be the most common way people become infected. Answer: my test was called : HSV 2/3 IGG, Herpes Select and then under lab it says IG.. ????????? is it different from gG?? anybody heard of my test or know what all this means?
