My test results
Question: HSVI - >1.10 positive HSVII - <.90 Negative According to my doctor I'm HSVI positive. Is that what this results show? Answer: Okay, I have a question. I have HSVI correct so how can I find out if it's a recent or past infection? I've never had cold sores in my life. Well that I can remember and my last sexual encounter was with my fiance back in like September. That's 3 months ago. Answer: It is almost impossible to determine time of infection unless you had happened to have gone in and had bloodwork that was negative or very low and in conjuction with symptoms of a first infection to tip you off to the exposure and then follow up with more bloodwork several months later that was clearly positive. I've read several documents lately that indicate how frequently women are misdiagnosed because the symptoms are not obvious or don't exactly indicate what is recognized as hsv. Have you ever had genital symptoms? such as itching, burning, yeast type discharge, unexplained lower back pain, pimples, bumps etc? Answer: I had itching and discharge but that was diagnosed as a yeast infection when I first went in to my doctor. Then afterwards I had that viral culture of a cut I had and it came back negative. The next day I went in for blood draw to check for Herpes 1&2. Came back positive with Herpes I and negative for Herpes II. Could it be possible to have Herpes I down there? Answer: yes it is becoming quite common for hsv1 genital infections. does your fiance have coldsores? have you ever been the recipient of oral sex? Answer: No, he's never had coldsores. Yes, I have been the recipient of oral sex before. Answer: most people who get ghsv1 infections get them from oral sex. Answer: Interesting....so maybe I should have another blood test in a couple months? Answer: why do you think you should get another test? Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
