Herpes On Your Body

Question:
Can you get HSV on your ear?? How bout on your back?? One of my ears has been itchy and red and has like little bumps on it. Just little goosebump like things. No blisters or anything. Itches though. Also, I have this rash the size of a nickel on my back. It sometimes stings when I place water on it or something. If anyone can help me determine if this might be HSV let me know. This would be the first time I would have physical symptoms of HSV from exposure 12 weeks ago. 6.5 week blood test neg.

Thanks. Signing off, Herpes Man.

Answer:
Hi,

While the sore is present, go see a doctor and get the test for lesion culture.
Or take the blood test (Western blot or ELISA) now. After 12 weeks, it'll mostlikely give you accurate result.

You don't have any other symptom...? (pain?)
Don't really sound herpes though...
But then again, only doctors can test it and tell.

Best wishes..

Answer:
I'd say its more likely something else besides herpes... but like Faith said... Go see a Dr.

Beats the heck out of worrying!

Answer:
Well see Faith thats the thing. Theres really no sore or pain. I mean you would define a sore as a blister or pimple that has erupted or is on the verge of erupting right? Or like a pustule that looks fluid filled. I don't have any of those. Just little bumps on my ear like 2 or so. They just itch. Do not burn or anything. And the nickel sized rash on my back just looks like a rash no bumps or blisters or pimples. What do you think. I will take the blood test no doubt but should I be prepared for a pos test. Dam why would symptoms occur at 3 months after exposure. I thought the time was 2-20 days. Test at 6.5 weeks should have confirmed I didnt have HSV. Well thanks for you response. You too Pilot. If you can add anything that would help me out I would appreciate.
