Hello everyone. Listen to my tale of stupidity.
I started dating this girl. Long story short, she has a less than virtuous past and we had unprotected sex on NUMEROUS occasions
Now I have discovered what look like little pimples (red around the edges, white in the middle) ALL OVER my genital area
Now I have read that herpes causes itching and stuff... but I have not had any of that.
I noticed a while ago that sometimes my muscles ache in the mornings (especially my legs and back) and I have read that is a symptom too. I am pretty sure that I've gotten herpes from this girl... I haven't been to a doctor or anything yet and I don't know what to do
I'm really in shock because I'm only 19 and never thought this could happen to me... please give me some sort of advice

I think the best thing you can do is go get your bumps checked out by a doctor. They can take a culture and test to see if it is indeed herpes. in the meantime, L- Lysine tablets seem to work well for a lot of people. some people take them for suppression; others to help speed up the duration of the outbreak. they are inexpensive, and you can get them at any drug store or grocery store.

are you sure she has had a "less than virtuous past"? some people get it from their first boyfriend or sexual partner. some people also get it from their spouses. she may not even know she has the virus because a lot of people don't show symptoms. please, please don't judge her for having the virus. her character counts for more.

I agree with Hope - get to the Doc, but before the bumps clear up - they have to see them, and culture them.

Don't be afraid to go - docs see it all the time, but you need to know for peace of mind - and if it is HSV - tell that girl. If she has it - she may not know - up to you though - think of how many others you may save from this....

Well I called her and told her what I think it might be... she says she has been tested but I've read that when it's not shedding they might not detect it...anyways we are both going to the clinic to get tested together
I know she has been promiscuous in the past because she told me...
