education
Question: i find it unbelievable that until i contracted this disease, i hadn't heard a thing about it. obviously i knew that herpes existed. but the way that they go about teaching sex education, at least in the UK, is to lead you to think that as long as you use a condom, you'll be fine. so i did. not once in my life have i ever had unprotected sex. nobody EVER told me that you could catch something from receiving oral sex. it pisses me right off. obviously i'm not completely blameless in this whole thing and i could've put myself out there and researched things, or i could've been a more responsible person and not received oral sex (although the person i got this from has never even had a cold sore). but what i'm trying to say is, how the living fuck can this disease have reached virtual epidemic proportions and still, nobody seems to be doing anything to spread the word in schools? Answer: What I think is funny is that I had sex education in 6th grade. Most of us are not having sex in 5th grade. Well I'm hoping. I don't remember anything from it except watching a baby being born. I swore I would never do that. And the teacher told us about tampons and I was amazed and confused. Yes, In the US they don't teach you about condoms don't protect against everything either. Kind of sucks,,,,,but now you can educate your friends about it. My friends are very shocked and suprised that it could happen and that it happened to me. Lovely Answer: i think youre completely right, i had been through a few sex talks at schools but i thought that cold sores could not spread to other areas and that even when you wear a condom you can catch lifelong std's it really makes you wonder doesn't it?
