Just registered, thought id say hi :) Ive had herpes for what seems to be a year now, although who knows it could have been longer. I take Valtrex 500mg everyday and it seems to stop my outbreaks, when I dont take it, anytime I have sex it seems to come back. I guess because of the friction? Oh well, it was definately heart wrenching when I first saw the blisters, im a clean, fit guy but viruses dont care about that :) Do any of you experience less outbreaks after the years or does it basically stay how it is and if you dont medicate, constantly come back? I know a couple other people personally who have it and one guy only broke out once, and its been 4 years and hes not had it since. Others just get a slight itching, but blisters dont seem to pop out, me I get full out blisters with that horrible itching/burning feeling. Again hi everyone, just sharing :)

it seems like i have also had it for a year and i am starting to learn how to control my body through taking care of myself and reducing the amount of stress in my life. it seems to work so far...i haven.t had any outbreaks since i.ve made these changes....but sometimes i do get slight itching where i am worried it might lead to an outbreak...which it hasn.t. sooo, my question is..what qualifies as an outbreak? i assumed that it would be blisters. maybe this seems like a stupid question, but i guess i would like to hear a clarification if anyone knows.
