Herpies from a bikini wax?

Question:
About a month ago I went in for a bikini wax right before I went on vacation. The girl did a bad job of it, so I decided to have it all waxed off (my boyfriend had been wanting me to try that look anyway). About two weeks later I got what I thought was a yeast infection. It had exactly the same symptoms as ones that I had had in the past; creamy discharge, very inflamed, puffy, burning opening to the vagina. I used a 3 day monostat treatment, but it did not work well, the infection seemed to go almost completely away, then came back. (This had also happend in the past.) I called my OBGYN and asked her to prescribe an oral pill, which I took and usually works. The infection still took longer than 3 days to go away, more like 5. It's been completely gone for about a week now, but now I've noticed that I have some very small, itchy bumps and redish areas in the groves of the outside area of the vulva. I thought they were bug bites, as I first noticed them at an outdoor picnic. Now I am really starting to panic after reading info on herpies. My current boyfriend is the only person I've been with in 3 years. Could I have gotten herpies from the bikini wax?

Answer:
No you couldnt of got it from the waxing, if you have herpes genitally its from sexual contact with someone. go get a blood test to find out. dont stress just do the blood test to be sure, but your probably fine.

Answer:
I did have it looked at. The Dr. said that it was not herpies, that what I was seeing were just enlarged glands. She didn't have a reason for it, or the fact that they itched a bit. She said not to worry about it.

Answer:
I dont agree with your doc, is she psycic? My doc said the same thing, but i said well test me for all stds anyway, i demanded it and a week later, to my suprise they called and said honey im sorry but you have herpes. i almost had a heart attack. by the way how can a doc look and say, oh thats not H. My OBs are not visable, only pain and itchyness,. iv never had a blister or sore.. so if a doc says that doesnt look like it, ask them really what does it look like, duh! stupid docs
