I think I ahve it and I'm freaking out
Question: I get coldsores very often, like once a month, and I only get one at a time. I get ichy at the bottom of my lip, and hour later the cold sore appears, and it appears very small, I could berly see it, and It also goes away the same day, like in less than 6 hours, some times in an hour. I also notice I have very small bumps at the bottom of my penis, they are on my penis, just the bottom part, and I also noticed that the tip of my penis is a little red, I don't know if its normal. The bumps at my penis look very small, and they are a lot of them. When I pee it DOESN'T burn, just maybey once a year, when I know I won't use the bathroom for a really long time, I force my self to pee, and it hurts a little, I never put much attention to it cus Its not painfull I don't know if I have type 1 or type 2, can someone please tell me the diffrence? I also want to know if this virus affects my body...like destroys my ammune system, or kills me, or lowers my life span. Thanks to anyone that responds, It really means a lot to me. Answer: Dont assume that you have GH just yet. Small bumps on the penis are common. This may or may not be GH, but dont just assume that it is without a diagnosis. The difference between HSV1 and 2 or actually very few. Typically HSV1 effects the upper region and HSV2 the lower region. Keep in mind though both CAN affect either region and HSV1 is becoming a very common cause of GH. Its said that HSV1 in the genitals is almost always less severe and outbreaks arent as common. And last....No...herpes will not hurt your immune system and certanly will not reduce your lifespan in anyway. My advice would be to have a doc look at the "bumps". Remember Herpes sores typically only last a week or two at most then the skin looks fully normal again. If you have had these bumps for weeks or months its almost certainly not caused by HSV. Hope this helps.....Good luck and god bless Answer: what about my cold sores that I get on my mouth....they are small, I can predict when its coming by the irratating itch, and the bump on my lower lip usually goes away the same day, it never last longer than a day...the most i had one was for like 6 hours... And the bumps on my penis...ummmm....I had them for about two years...as I can remeber at first they seem normal....but then If you take a close look the rest of my penis doen't have bumps, so it made me wonder... I donnu If I can see a doctor, I don't have money, I live on my own, and I berly have enough, I go to school, and that takes all my money away. How much do they charge? What does anyone think I have ....maybey wartz? I don't know what that like either. Again the bumps are very small, and there are a lot of them, but not to many... Answer: my problem is kind of similar to yours, except i don't get cold sores in my mouth. i just have small bumps on my penis and scrotum, i've had them for a long time, at least since i was 15, and now im 21. i have never had sex or been in many relationships because of the situation im in. im not really sure where i could have gotten them from, cuz like i said i've never had sex or sexual contact with anyone, is it possible to spread the virus by using someone elses bath towel or wearing their clothes? :\ if anyone could please help i would appreciate it. Answer: The white bumps at the base of your penis are probably normal. If they look like these pictures http://www.studenthealth.co.uk/leafl...enitalSkin.htm then that is something called Sebacious Glands or pearly penile papules and a lot of people have that. It isn't an STD and they are not contagious or harmful. It's just a natural part of your body like a pimple or something. From what I know, Cold Sores don't usually go away the same day, and once a month is pretty severe. If you are getting cold sores once a month, then you should go see a doctor and get some abriva or undergo some sort of suppressive therapy. Have you had any tests done to make sure you do in fact have HSV? Answer: jerry thanks a lot for posting that website. the second picture looks EXACTLY what i have... and its such a relief to find out it's not herpes... Answer: No problem, glad I could help. I have the same thing, hehe which is the only reason why I looked it up a while back. Gotta love google. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
