Question:
im really not sure what my problem is...i have had constant red bumps in my genital area for almost a year now...they are never in the same spot and get worse when i shave down there. i am also soar or itchy almost always and the bumps sometimes fade away and sometimes get some dry skin over them, but i havent read of anyone else having syptoms like this...do i have it??? oh and the doctor said my test was neg for type two but positive for type 1 and ive never had any cold sores. please respond!

Answer:
Herpes doesn't last for that long, are you sure they aren't just shaving bumps? Doesn't sound like herpes 1 or 2 to me.

But to remove all doubt and seeing that you have them constantly, take advantage of the situation and have them checked out by a dermatologist. He?ll probably be able to prescribe something to get rid of whatever it is.

Answer:

Answer:
thanks for the words of advice...i just am concerned because i just woke up one morning and they were there...and i also got very sick with flu like symptoms and the guy i had been with the night before said he had red bumps on his penis but since that time he hasnt had anything else...doesnt that sound like an initial herpes outbreak??

Answer:
Have you had any other symptoms,is it always in the same area or does it occur anywhere else on your body?

Answer:
Sounds to me like it's from shaving. I have given up shaving and taken to trimming for the same reason. Every time I shave by the next day or two I get pimples and later ingrown hairs that take a month or so to go away. And they DO itch like hell and there is some pain with them. When they turn into ingrown hairs you can tell because there is a pimple or bump that fills with fluid because your body is trying to force the hair out. If you pop it you can usually pry the hair from under the skin so it doesn't cause anymore painful bump. And I can get anywhere from a couple to about fifty of these after I shave. And when they get older there is dry skin that forms over the top of the bumps after they dry out.

Sounds exactly like what you have sweetie. Take up trimming instead.

Answer:
