please answer if you know alot about herpes diagnosis

Question:
Hi, i recently was with someone who had no signs or clue that they had genital herpes type 2. A condom was used. 2 days later i started to break out in my pubic area. I told the girl to get tested as i would myself. SHe came back and told me she has tested postivie. That night i went to the emergency room and got tested my self and to have a doctor look at it. He told me it looked like i had classic pubic folliculitis. And gave me an anti biotic to clear it up. I took a blood test and still havent recieved the results. The pubic follicultis, didnt itch too much, and was never painful. I then saw my own persional doctor 2 days later to get hisopinion, he said the same thing. Now it been 13 days since i was with the girl with the girl with herpes, and 11 since the follicultis as they told me it is showed up. Its been clearing up with the medication "sulfameth/trimethoprim 800/160tabs" which is generic for Bactrim DS tablets. Ive been taking the medication now for 5 days and its cleared up pretty much. The area where it was a rash in the folliculs scabbed up and are healing, and pretty much the rash is gone. just still a lil reddness. I have yet to get my test results back for herpes. But the 2 doctors ive seen so far told me they dont think its herpes but this pubic Follicultis. Also i dont shave but i do trim my pubic area. So please what is your opinions on the matter. Does your first outbreak clear up this quickly, have some itchiness, but not like i ned to itch it all the time, and dont notice the itch all the time, just notice it cause im paranoid, and what do u think of this . Please help and give me what ur synopsis is cause im still paranoid.

Answer:
Getting the same diagnosis from two doctors may be a good indicator that you're ok, but only the tests will tell. Is it possible that the girl got a false positive diagnosis?

In the meantime, the first outbreak is generally the worst, and I really think if it was an H outbreak you would know it. Generally, people get very sick with flu symptoms and ache all over, with prominant leg or neck pain depending on whether it is type 1 or 2. Also, swollen lymph nodes are common, in the groin region or underarms [I get 6 or more swollen lymph nodes under each underarm the size of small grapes when I get an outbreak]. It is different for everyone though, so hang in there until you get the results from your doctor. Keep me posted on how things work out for you...take care :)
