Hi Everyone! I am new to this and I thought maybe someone could give me some answers. I have been with three men in my life; I am 21 years old, so still somewhat young. One was serious boyfriend, other two were just casual dating and of course casual sex. I used condoms with the last two guys. The last time I had sex was 3 months ago and have not since.
I was in the shower the other day and I noticed there was a red bump down there. It was not sore, but felt it may be a nick from shaving around my bikin line with a razor. It burst and bled....does that mean its herpes? I know the skin tissue in the vaginal area is sensitive. I read up on some of the basic symptoms and I have had none listed. The bump has been there for approx. 3 days now and has not scabbed over. Is there anything specific I should be looking for? What is the approximate time before someone has an outbreak after contracting herpes? Its making me nervous even though I know for a fact I did not had sex with my last two partners without a condom. If anyone can help me and easy my worry a bit perhaps, that would be great!

i've never had any sores that bled, or heard of that. especially if you don't have any other symptoms, i doubt that it's herpes. most likely an infected hair follicle or something related to shaving as you first suspected. i'm fairly certain that the first outbreak occurs immediately after becoming infected anyway, within days or weeks but not months. have you put anything on it to help it heal, such as neosporin?

No I haven't put anything on it. Just applied some pressure when it bled and it stopped. I mean I really doubted it was herpes to start with considering I did use a condom and its been three months since I last had sex. Should I try neosporin?
