AT THE CRISIS OF MY LIFE....
Question:  I moved to the U.S. in April,my husband is a US Soldier. We were seperated for 3 months because I didn't have my visa yet. Anyway, when I got here my husband had a STD .He got tested for HIV and all STD's. He had Chlamydia.I had to take medication just in case. This was in April. My husband is currently in school,he is kind of locked up,he came home last weekend,we had sex and a couple days later I had a redness near my Vagina. Then it became a sore spot.I freaked out, went to the Dr. today, and he is getting me tested for everything. He said he couldn't say if it was herpes until he gets the results, but it is a genital ulcer... OH MY GOD.It was a very painful sore when urin went over it it burned like hell.I WILL KILL MY HUSBAND IF IT IS HERPES AND DON'T KNOW HOW TO GO ON WITH MY LIFE. I talked to him today and he told me that he was tested for Herpes also which was negative. ANYBODY...since I had alot of emotional stress is it possible that its a ulcer caused by stress? My skin always react on stress, also I had Herpes Simplex on my lip before. My scalp is flaky also.I did have a sore throat 2 weeks ago with swolen Lymphknots, but I get this all the time once a year.I never had a sore like this before. Its not very big ..1cm PLEASE TELL me that I could have a Genital Ulcer without being infected with herpes. My results get back in 1 week, until then I just go crazy...if I don't talk about it. IM GOING NUTS. HELP.... Lets say it is Herpes..do my parnter and I have to wear a condom from now on.. No more Oral sex ever? ...........till I hear from yall God bless, K. Answer:  By the way I got all the Treatment in case it is herpes.. He put me on medication right away... Answer: Dear Trust Lost, I think noone has responded because noone wants to tell you yes or no! I dont know the answer, but I'm leaning towards saying that stress cannot cause an ulcer all on it's own, it can provoke one though. But that doesn't mean its definately herpes... or even an STD for that matter, it could just be from rough-my-husband-just-got home-sex. If his tests said he didn't have genital herpes, I dont think that answer is clear enough.... b/c of a huge oversight by many clinics: Because so many people (80%) have hsv-1 antibodies (you do if uve had a cold sore), when a genital herpes test comes back with hsv-1 antibodies theyll incorectly tell you "you have no genital herpes" but in reality you can have hsv-1 on the genitals.... It happened to me. So you should find out about that. There are other things it could be as well, but if your husband has gotten and is getting STD's, he should be wearing a condom regarless of these results, if you chose to have sex with him. One more thing... if it is herpes-1, that does not mean that there have been any infidelities, especially if you have had cold sores before, which means you have the herpes-1 virus already. HSV1 can be transfered through oral sex to the genitals. But if there have been infidelities before, I definately would't rule it out. Good luck with everything... Dont go crazy, its not the end of the world regardless of the outcome. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
