Question: i contracted this from a girl who knew she had it. wich i can deal with the only problem is my mother worked at the high school counselers office at the h.s. this girl went to. My own mother knew this girl had it and didn't tell me. due to a privacy clause. Now i just don't know what to do it's like any hope at trusting someone is gone. along with my dreams of getting married and starting a family. any ideas how I can A. meet someone with h1/h2, B. forgive my mother for not warning me C. start to trust any woman???? this along with another event has left me so confused about if i can trust another person. this is the 1st time i've asked for advice or something............. I really need a lady in my life but can't do the same thing that was done to me to someone else, and destroy someone elses dreams. I don't really know what I'm asking for so please just respond...... Answer: First off, you do need to find room in your heart to forgive. It was the girl's responsibility to be honest with you and she is what I would say is most likely in denial. Alot of people don't realize that "asymptomatic shedding" exists. They believe that if they're not having an outbreak, that they are not contagious. That's the thing about herpes is that there is no guarantee and you can never be totally sure that you're contagious free, ya know what I mean. What I want to say to you is learn all you can about it, learn to accept it, because you're life is NOT over and in the end, you will become a much better person for having herpes. Many of us follow the same road and process having herpes the same way. Some do it a bit faster than others. The internet was the best thing that ever happened to me. Doctors, 17 years ago, didn't have all the facts either. They basically said, you have it and it'll always be with you, but no other information was ever provided. Please go to http://www.yoshi2me.com and click on the Herpes stories link. Also, you might want to sign up for a herpes support group either nationally just on a message board or in your local city. You'll find anything and everything you'll need on Yoshi's website. Take care and good luck to you. Luanne (Buffalo H Friends) Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
