Question:
Hello, I was diagnosed with herpes type 1 a couple of weeks ago. In the genital area. I was put on Valtrex mid OB for 10 days. It has been about 15 days and I think another OB may be coming on or it may be the same one, I just dont know. However, this time my lips also feel tingly. I have little white dots on my top lip. Its like they are under the skin, you cant feel them but you can see them. Is this the beg. of a coldsore? I was hoping someone exp'd. could tell me. If so,is there anything I can do? I am going to a big party this weekend and dont want this now!!
Anybody that can offer suggestions I would appreciate it!

Hey i get coldsores....sounds like what happens with mine....i usually dont put anything on the coldsore...that means no chapstick blistex or even any cream......the drier you keep it the faster it will go away...if you have valtrex take that...it helps alot with me and usually helps heal the sore faster...but then again its different for everyone lots say valtrex doesnt help for them. good luck
