I am not sure if I have H2 or not, here is my story:

I felt burning that didn't go away for a few days so I went to the hospital. by then there were no blisters but a watery-yellowish substance was present on the shaft and it was painful to touch. The doctor at the hospital looked at it for two minutes and said it was herpes, yet when results came back from the lab, they said it was Streptococcus group A and I brought these results to my familiy doctor who said not to worry it is not a venereal disease, it is a skin bacteria. Anyways this was three and a half months ago and I took medication but there is redness that has never gone away, I'm wondering if anyone else has had similar lab test results and was I really misdiagosed the first time or can lab results make mistakes about what they've found.
If it is herpes how long before it comes back or is it possible that it has been active on my penis for the last three and a half months?
