i am 19 years old and my girlfriend (17) and i have been dating for the past seven months now, and have been having sex for the past 5. everything has been seemingly fine up until a few days ago. about three days ago when we attempted to have sex she complained that it hurt extremely bad and we had to stop intercourse. i remember her saying that it didnt hurt inside at all, but only on the exterior. a couple of days before this happened i realized that my lymph nodes at my groin on the right side were sore and swollen, and i had a red bump about an inch above the base of my penis. i disregarded it thinking it was only an ingrown hair from shaving. but as the days have past since the last time we had sex many red bumps have appeared around my groin and lower stomach, and what appears to be little tiny blisters on my penis. i am so scared right now and fear that i do in fact have genital herpes after adding this all up. i have heard that one can go a while having genital herpes and not seeing any symptoms, but the last person i had sex with besides my girlfriend was probably 7 months ago and hers way before that, why would this all of a sudden occur so rapidly. i am shocked and have no idea what to do, i dont think i can handle this at all. i know the logical thing to do would be to go get checked out, but im so scared and dont think i could face knowing 100% that i do have it. please help, any advice is much appreciated.
