All right .I have been active in sex only with my wife except this one time that i went to a bar. I kissed the girl in a bar for abt 2 secs (wouldnt call it a wet kiss). Also she touched my private parts with my hands and i touched her and this was for abt 2-3 secs. I mean i tipped her well and she allowed me to touch her for 2 secs. Now this is the only time i have literally done anything with someone except my wife (both before and after marriage).
So i was scared and used this test requestatest.com for testing all STD'S.Now everything came negative except HERPES. They say that they will now test for HSV1 or HSV2 and let me know. I came true with my wife straightaway and she handled it well. I am not scared / worried but have a few doubts.
1. Could i have got herpes from the bar girl.
2. I read that i can get HSV1 from sharing a cigarrette which i do often.
3. If i do have hsv1 whats the big deal.. so many people have it.. why are people scared?. I mean i could have got it when i was a kid right.
4. The test that they used was ising igm technology which the hotline for herpes said is not accurate. so not they are using hsv1/hsv2 select technology.
5. Biggest question --> do i really need to worry... i mean my wife is ok with it even if i have it and she is not worried .. i have never had any symptons etc ....

Well you shoudl worry a bit. B/c if you have H1 coldsores and you perform oral sex on her you could give it to her in her genital area. Or you could simply give it to her orally. And I get sick a lot. Colds and Flus now for nothing. It is not NOT a big deal...

Just because everyone has it doesn't mean that's it ok to have it.

HSV1 or any permanent resident virii will sap strength from your body. You will never be 100% of your physical condition you were in before hte infection. You'll always be a bit more tired than other people. More chances of getting alzeimers.

To me it will feels like i'm having a slight cold everyday for the rest of my life.

Diseases are diseases are diseases no matter how many people have it.

I have had herpes for almost 5 years, from oral sex with my husband while he had a cold sore. I only feel sick when I'm actually sick. I wonder if alot of those symptoms are psychosomatic. It may not be, alot of people react differently to herpes but I wonder how much of it is actually illness and how much of it is, Oh..I have herpes..and now I dont feel good and I'm depressed and I'm gonna have it forever, oh my head hurts...etc.
I've heard of people, women mostly, saying that they always feel strange in the genital region, usualy for a short time after contracting, but never have I heard that they constently feel fluish and tired after hsv.

Just a thought. Anyone else?
