How much do I tell my potential partner about H...?

For example do I need to tell them all of the possible nasty complications about it, like possibly a newborn becoming infected, or their eyes...?

I don't want to freak them out... :( Help!!!

I don't know how much you need to tell yet on that. My understanding is that it can only be a problem if the primary ob is around the pregnancy or delivery time so you be the judge. i would love more input here from boardmembers.

its a problem with any ob during delivery - c section is routine with any HSV positive mother.

Tell them everything, but I would avoid the less likely negatives for a second conversation on the matter. Too much at once is very scary - be prepared to answer everything and be responsible about it - your knowledge will be comforting - do your homework.
