My husband and I were married for 12 years, had two children and then divorced. After 10 years of being divorced, we got back together. While we were divorced, he had contracted Herpes. We thought that if we didn't have sex during an outbreak that I was safe from contracting it. Wrong! I had a terribly bad initial outbreak which I at first thought was the worst yeast infection I had ever had. Three days later, he had an outbreak and I went to the doctor and was tested positive. We are still together and will be until we die, so I'm not presented with the problems that a person that is single would have; I can see how that would be tough. I think support systems like this website are great, though. I haven't had an outbreak since the initial one, but my husband has one from time to time when he gets stressed.

I just got the herps and am finally healing and I am hoping this shit doesnt come back for a LONG time lol
