General "I'm sure it's herpes, but tell me it's not&quo
Question: Well, I'm pretty sure I have herpes. I'm not one to usually jump to conclusions about these kinds of things, but, it's kind of aparent, I think. Listen to what I tell you, then tell me what you think. I'm also interested in hearing what ELSE it might be, so, I mean, really listen to what I'm saying, PLEASE read through the whole thing, as I explain it, in deatil, and try and help me out here...one herpes infected dude to another...lol. (If you couldn't tell, I am a kind of "oh well" person. If I've got herpes, I've got it. Finding out yay/nay doesn't change much, now does it? Worse things could happen, right?) Okay...a few days ago, actually -- I'm going to say, hmmm...possibly TWO weeks ago...I shaved my pubic area. Not the whole thing, but, you know, gave it the ol' trim. Well, as usual, with every time I shave, it began to itch, you know, like it does, and I scratched it, like you do...when no one's around...not in public or anything  . So anyhow, I scratched PRETTY hard on this thing, because it did itch, PRETTY bad...but, by my own admitance, I did a rather quick-touch job of shaving that day, and i did nick myself once or twice. Anyway... After I scratched and scratched and scratched, I noticed, upon a close inspection, that I had scratched the area raw, like one might do a mosquito bite. It had, now, begun to heal, like a scratched mosquito bite would...with the bit of clear sticky liquid (I know mosquito bites do that as well because I also happen to currently have a mosquito bite on my FOOT, and it is healing and behaving in much the same manor as my "herpes") and all that...but, it has continued to itch...again, much like the mosquito bite, you know? Well, as the days progress and this thing itches a little each day, because I wear clothes, obviously, and the clothes rub against it and all that, I give it a rub. I've decided against scratching, you know, so that I don't mess up the healing process on the sore, itself. Besides the point. Anyhow, and as I rub this thing during the day, and semi-scratch the itch, when I settle down for the evening, and take a look, I have noticed that two or three SMALL, and by small I mean hair follicle sized, little folicle looking half-raised bumps have now taken a sort of pinkish coloring, and they are showing up in and around the area of the initial sore. Hears the low-down on symptoms, and why I think they MIGHT NOT BE herpes: SYMPTOMS: - Two (one larger [size of a half of a dime] and one smaller [size of a standard pimple]) open sores around the left side of my penis, on the base...right in the beginning part of the hair. - Two or three smaller half-raised pinkish bumbs in conjunction with the two sores, further up into the pubic hair. - Not swollen, or raised, but tender LEFT groin lymph-node. POSSIBLE NON-HERPES EXPLANATIONS: - Many infections, non-sexual included, cause swollen lymph nodes. - Over scratching an itch or bite can result in broken skill and a surface scrape...which gels over when healing. - The bumps and sores are only being raised and active in the area I am scratching. I could be scratching because those bumps are causing an itch, but, they could just be there because I am scratching them..you know what I mean? Anywhere, there's the story. Let me know what you guys think. I'm afraid because, I just don't want to like..never get married or have kids or meet new girls because I have herpes. Please let me know, from best judgments, what it is. Sorry for the long post. Answer: Hi there, read what you said and just contributing what i have. like me, you're in denial, if I may say so. simply go for a blood test. Western Blot is said to be the best without a lesion. We can only help ourselves as no one else would. Dazed (almost suicidal now) Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
