Ok, well here is my question.

Lets say someone in a household has a cold sore(they normally never get them). Then they touch that infected area, then touch , lets say a door knob. If I touched that door knob, would I catch the cold sore? or what? Can it be transferred from like there hand to a door knob or something like that. Or do i actually have to touch the infected cold sore myself????

If you kissed that person or had skin to skin contact in the infected area then yes you could get it :)

So even if they touched the infected area, DIDN'T wash there hands, and touched like a door knob, keyboard, computer mouse, then I touched it, that i still wont get it?
