1. I was just dx with Herpes Type 2 with blood work. But I have no soars or ever had any in the past. Is this possible? I only experience slight burning for about 2-3 weeks. do some people never experience soars?

2. GYN said I've had this virus for several years, is this at all possible? since Ive never once had an OB?

3. On my results sheet it read: These results suggest no recent infection with Herpes Simplex Virus II"
what do they mean by recent???? months, years what? I wish they were more specific. The Gyn that took the test has no clue.

Answer:
Do you get cold sores? You could have hsv2 in your sacrial ganglia..rather than hsv1..causing cold sores. They are the same virus..just a slight difference. Either one can live on either part of your body. You could also have it and never break out..yes. Ever. Or you could go for the next 5 years and not get anything...then one day wake up with an outbreak. It's just how it is.
