Well, here's my story. I've had cold sores for about 5 years now. I was with a girl who had a very mild rash in her genital area. Noticed it after we were together and had oral sex. She told me that she got this mild rash whenever she ate cheese. She said that it was no big deal and went to the doctor and was taking "antibiotics" for it. Not knowing anything about H, I took her work for it. Well the rest is history. I started breaking out with cold sores. I broke out often, about every 5 weeks. I starting taking Lysine @ 1000 mg a day and it helps. Whenever I feel one coming on I take 2000 mg for a few days. Still get itchy hot feeling and occasional pinhead size pimples that come to a head. Pop then and treat with rubbing alcohol. Highly irritated that she did this to me. Damn her lying... Hope she gets her karma... Feel like a social outcast....... Afraid to date.

i cannot beleive that girl would say that she got that "rash when she ate cheese" i mean...after i was just diagnosed with H 3 days ago... i will never be able to sleep with anybody again without telling them about my condition first. thats just wrong! i would not want to put anybody through this shitty ass experience that ive been through! the guy i got it from is being dumb and not calling me back now..... we texted on our cells before i went to the dr..he told me it might be poison ivy...then said well maybe sweatrash...then he said call me when u stop being foolish (cause i was freaking out!!) ok so i call him after i go to the dr...go figure he doesnt answer and now he wont call me back!!! ok CAN U SAY SOMEONE KNEW THEY HAD THAT SHIT AND COULDNT FREAKIN TELL ME! lying ass people do suck!!!!!
