80%+ have herpes?.. how is this possible?
Question: Dont think I have anything, I never had any cold sores that I can remember... Im just curious.. How is the 80% of people have oral herpes even possible? I am usually around 20 - 30 people everyday for years and never see anyone have such a thing.. Is it because 80% of people have it but only a very very small percent actually have recurrences? Or is it because most people dont ever have symptoms or what? I just dont get it... :?: :?: :?: Answer: Nevermind I found this somewhere on the web .. someone verify it's realibility.. Or add more to it. "Herpes Simplex Type 1 (HSV-1) HSV is an acronym for the Herpes Simplex Virus. HSV-1 is the virus responsible for cold sores and fever blisters. Research has shown that between 50 to 80% of all Americans carry the antibodies to HSV-1. Between 10 to 20% of that population suffers recurring outbreaks. Even though a person may visibly show no signs of recurrence, it is possible for a person to pass the HSV-1 virus. " Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
