Outbreaks getting worse, but 3 tests say Negative?
Question: OKay..my first "outbreak" was just a lot of itching and I didnt get anything after that.. then recently ive been getting itchiness and redness quite a bit. So i went to the gyno , and She did a culture on the sore and it came back negative. and 2 months later i had a really bad outbreak...and they did another culture on it plus blood tests..(she said if i had herpes...results would show in the blood tests) .and they all came back negative for herpes, warts, chlymidia, and syphillis. how is this possible when i have all the symptoms? today was the first time in a yr that ive ever gotten a bump/blister...but usually i have sores.. is this possible i have herpes but all 3 tests say negative? Answer: These tests are only as good as the culture the physician takes....It is possible that the culture was contaminated.....I would recommend you see an STD specialist....The local health department usually has access to these specialist.....You should also be tested for HPV..... Answer: take the university of washington's WESTERN BLOT test. It's the only way to be sure. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
