Question:
Can herpes cause Colon Cancer?
My mom passed from colon cancer so I'm paranoid because I'm already predisposed to it AND have H. :?:

Answer:
I've looked, and couldn't find any literature linking hsv to colon cancer. A weaked immune system could predispose you to increased hsv outbreaks and cancerous cell growth...but as an otherwise healthy individual with a normal immune system (as far as I know), your risk for colon cancer is the same with or without herpes. (BTW, make sure your regular doctor knows your mom's history...it is recommended that you have colonoscopies earlier and more regularly than the general population - my dad died of colon cancer too.)
