Living Overseas

Question:
Last month I noticed some genital sores and went to the hospital to have them looked at. I suspected it was herpes and the doctor confirmed it. He didn't take any kind of swab though, just looked at the area and told me it was genital herpes. My problem is that I am living in South Korea, and will be for some time. I have a million questions and it seems my only option is the internet, but there is so much information to sort through I was hoping someone could help me with a few suggestions on where to start. This site has helped a lot, but I need more guidance! I feel so frustrated and alone because I don't speak the language here, so I can't find the help that I need. I just wish I had someone to talk to here. My friends here that I have told have been really supportive but they can't begin to grasp how devestated I feel. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Answer:
Ugh. I live in SoKo too. Sometimes it's hard to live away from home, when you know your home friends are more supportive than your new home friends. It gets easier and easier: soon you'll just think of herpes as an inconvenience. Then it'll get worse again, and you'll find yourself on herpes chat rooms at one in the morning while your friends are out at the bar...
