Got (swab) test results back today HSV2 pos. How accurate?
Question: I know if it quacks like a duck and waddles like a duck and looks like a duck....it must be a goose - right? I was hoping so... I have all of the classic symptoms along with a positive diagnosis of HSV2. However, is there even a slight chance that my test could have been wrong??? I had an outbreak a week ago and the blisters are now scabs and have no "stuff" inside as far as I can see. Would I have to get another swab test or should I get a blood test done? yesterday = today = :( tomorrow = (naw...not really) Answer: If the swab was taken within 48 hours of the blisters forming then it should be very accurate. The blisters have now scabbed so you do not need anothe swab test. Unfortunately you probably have it - but wait 90 days after exposure and get a blood test. Answer: You are probably right - that I may have it - but I can live in either hope or denial. Is there a difference? :) Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
