Question:
I think I might have contracted herpes. Right after I finished having sex I felt a tingling sensation in my penis and scrotum. I went home and showered about six hours later. The sensation never went away. About 7 days later I noticed small red bumps on my scrotum. There weren't any bumbs on my penis, but the foreskin on the right side looked different and had a wrinkled appearance. Then after another week I noticed bumbs at the base of my penis, in the hair line. I think I should say that none of the bumps were clustered. During the first 20 days or so I felt pains in my legs and I became a lot colder than usual. There was also swelling in my testicles. The bumps themselves never hurt though.
I went to see the doctor and she said it wasn't herpes. But strangley the appearance of the bumbs had changed. Now they had a white center and had a hair follicle in the center. I hadn't washed my gentials in probably a month by the time I went in for my second appointment. I was tested for all STDs and the results came back negative for everything. I realize that only 3 weeks had passed, so the Herpes antibodies may not yet be present.
I washed my genitals with a washcloth after hearing the results and the number of bumbs increased, basically in the all of the pubic hair on my penis and scrotum.
It has been 11 weeks since exposure and 10 weeks since the onset of symptoms and there is no improvement. I made the mistake of washing my genitals with my bear hands because I wanted to believe the doctor that it wasn't herpes. My thighs became red and warm that night. Small red dots appeared on my thighs. A few very small brown spots have appeared on my penis, one on my scrotum,and on my legs and forearms, in spots that were preceded by an itchy feeling.
My doc told me to put Lamisil on my genitals, and i did for the past 2 weeks without improvement. I have been washing my genitals with latex gloves and making sure not to touch any other area of my body .I will see her again in two days and ask to be referred to a dermatologist. In a week it will have been 3 months so I will take the herpes blood test again.

How reliable is the Herpes select blood test? If the symptoms did clear up, would I ever know for sure that I don't have herpes? Can anyone relate, share similar experiences, or give advice? Thank you.

Don't worry it's probably nothing worst case it could be HSV1 but them sores should hurt like a bitch.

I doubt it's HSV2.

Disease are punishment from God, remember that.
