Question:
I have had outbreaks for 3 years and have had periodic blood tests run. All have come back negative but with a flag of 40-41. These are type specific tests and show to be negative to HSV 1 and 2. Does anyone know what could be going on. The doctor has assured me that the lesions are due to an hsv infection. But how could it be?

what does with a flag of 40-41 mean? maybe you could get second opinions and testings. I couldn't figure this one out either.
