Zvex, makes some truly excellent products, all handmade, PTP, if memory serves. I was seriously considering a Super Hard On for a while. The company itself comes across to me as really being creative in the midst of a cliched and tired guitar effects market. Can't go wrong with either one, just a bit pricey. If you can get around that.

you guys should get out www.tonefactor.com when it comes to effects, that place is GAS central. They carry a few botique manufacturers and you can search the effects by type. I know that I've really been interested in getting one or two of the catalinbread pedals if I get the chance.

Ahh..tonefactor...many a lustful hour has been spent there. Let me also say that Brad Fee, the founder, is an incredible person. He is more than accomodating, and has truly earned my business. His customer service and attention to the consumer is unparalled, and remains one of the few distributors that truly cares about the relationship with the customer.
And Steve, I too have been eyeing the Super Chili for a couple of weeks now, but just can't seem to justify it...Keep me posted.

I really can't justify anything because I don't really play guitar much anymore. The SCP is supposed to be very similar to ZVex's SHO, the difference being about $40.
I think that if I was playing guitar more I'd get the SCP to compliment my J&H, allowing me to use the J&H to it's full capacity (as it is, I use the J-side as an almost clean boost and the H for mild OD. The SCP would allow me to use the J as a light/mild OD and the H for something heavier)
