A amp breaking down story.

Question:
This is more just for humor.. I realize I toasted it.
Alright so I in the middle of a softer worship song (Jason Morant - Love song) I'm playing my electric, through a Hot Rod Dlx with a Major Tom Attenuator. I have my amp on about 7, with pretty heavy attenuating. All the sudden.. my attenuator decides to completely die. So, my amp goes from about "3" volume, to "7" mid song. Needless to say.. we had to stop.
Answer:
oh wow...haha...that's pretty hardcore.
Answer:
Then you just ripped into the baddest solo you could think of verdad?
Answer:
What do you think happened? Were you pushing the attenuator too hard, or was it just a random failure?

MT has said that his attenuators will only handle the HRD series at lower saturation levels. I'm guessing that a volume of 7 is above that level.
Answer:
Haha, oh bad!
I gotta remember that when I'm attenuating my HRDlx... don't put it above 7...
