Mesa Dual Rec-Roadster.

Question:
I dont know if Im looking in the wrong places or what, but I cant find price, or general info anywhere for this amp.
The only info I know about it is what I read on the mesa website.
Does anyone know anything about this amp, or tried it or anything?
Answer:
Mesa tends to be pretty tight-lipped with anybody but their authorized dealers on pricing information.

It's worth throwing in that items such as mesa's often sell around a certain price in-store called pro-net. Which is the absolute minimum that the sales people are allowed to sell it for, and it's usually a bit above cost compared to the other instruments, but they have to make money off of these things, thus "pro net." One would think that there is some similarity in the pro net prices of these amps store-to-store, but I don't really know for sure. The point is actually that they sell the amps a couple hundred higher than the pronet, so the store is sure to make a good profit, and the salesman, a better comission.
All of that to say this: Some ebay stores will sell them for pronet prices. Example: You go in to your local store where you know the folks there, and they'll sell you a Series 2 Mesa Rect-O-verb 2x12 combo for about $1400-ish at the very lowest, and then you can go on ebay, and they'll have it pro net for $1200 and something. but then you have to worry about shipping.
Answer:
I get all of that, but still.
And, I know that this thing will run above 1600, just because of what it is, and the brand.
But, yeah. It would still be nice to be able to pin down an actual price on it.

Answer:
2899 Euros = 3,461 USD according to XE.com
but, something to consider...Mesa stuff is MUCH more expensive in Europe than it is over here.

Oh man, that's highway robbery for just a dual-rec with reverb!

Why not just find your local/regional Mesa dealer and give them a call?

But I don't think it is just a dual rec with reverb. From reading the mesa page, this is basically a Road King Combo without some of the frills. Go read about the Road King, then check out prices on some of those.
Answer:
Yeah, a Road King is basically what you get when you try to put the functionality of a digital modelling amp into an amp that has no digital modelling. In other words, a lot of features.

Ive read the Roadster, and Roadking pages.
RK average 2700 new for a head, standard Dual Rec heads average about 1799.
Im hoping the new roadster is closer to the normal Dual Rec price.
