Where's that AC30 Clone?
Question: Hey guys, I'm looking for that handwired, AC30 clone link that was on here awhile ago. I forgot the company name, but I remember it had red tolex. Help? Answer: Nevermind, found it! Made by ValveTech. Answer: i take it the MTS deal didn't come through? Answer: Well, this ValveTech amp would be a bit over my budget... But I haven't heard from the guy in awhile. I'll give him another week or so, because it's possible he: 1. Went on a business trip. 2. Went on vacation. 3. Had an emergency. Answer: the hayseeds are crazy...the only issue is that these have started to get some publicity lately, so you can expect to put your name down on a wait list, as Rob's been getting some order overload recently...and makes these one at a time. but if you don't like it, i know he'll take it back, no questions asked. in addition to that...you'll find more than what you paid for it if you sold it...as people tend to be impatient. just FYI, i think that the red tolex amp you speak of is "The Amp." Here's a review of the hayseed. http://www.ultimateguitargear.com/to..._hayseed30.htm Answer: I visited the Valvetech website and saw that one of their vendors was Junior's Music in Connecticut. Jr's was where I got my Heritage H157. I was shocked that a fire had consumed his business, but he and his family were safe. He is a great guy and deserves our prayers. I know I appreciated his help in getting my fretboard repaired. Sorry for the slight detour, but I wanted to let you folks know. Thanks, Wayne Answer: I had seen that as well from another source..and its definitely worthy of our thoughts and prayers *and business as well* I feel for Junior, but I'm hearing he's taking it pretty well. Thanks. I'll say he is taking it pretty well, but still needs much support. Sorry for really hijacking this thread, but here's his response to an email I sent to him just last night. Here's a brother who needs our support in any way you can - words of comfort, prayers, business (he can get you the Valvetech, Dr. Z, etc), monetary support. Visit him at www.juniorsmusic.com. "Thanks so much for writing me. By the grace of God no one was hurt. There is no way to express in words how intense this fire was. The loss of 20 years, my labor of love gone in a wink of an eye. Even after 2 weeks of not sleeping,I would just pass out then come to, only to realize I had no store to go to work to. When ever life had dealt me a blow of depression or emotional trama I could always go out hang with the guitars and work through things. Not being able to go to work and do what I love has left me with no outlet for the stress in this world. This past Monday and Tuesday the stress was so great that I walked 10 miles each day in single digit temps and a raging snow storm just trying to get away from everything. Trying to find something inside of me that would ease my pain and show me it will all be ok. After a while I did not even feel the cold. I was the only pay check in the house always struggeled yet I was able to pay all the Bills. Now I dont even open my mail as everything is a turn off notice or delinquent aging bill. I had a very good insurance policy but here it is over a month since the fire and not a penny for business interruption or anything in the form of financial relief. God Bless the Girl Scouts who have brought us dinners and The sandwich shop across the street. The local community has been keeping us in their prayers as well as the hundreds of customers and well wishers from around the world. I have been praying and reading Gods word more and I know we will get through this one too. Someday I hope to understand why this happened to us.I dont believe God did this to me or let this happen. My wife will disagree with that as it was the only way to get me out of the store. Perhaps God wanted me to spend more time with my family. The store consumed much of me & my family time.I am entering the acceptence stage now and coming to terms with not having a building to work out of. Fortunately our House was not damaged and is large enough that we turned the Down stairs into lesson rooms. My family moved up to the 2nd and 3rd floors. Inventory was still coming in after the fire so I had my web guy take some pictures of me in front of the doorway of the burned out building with a few pieces of new gear. very company that I did business with wants me to battle back so they have been drop shipping for me. It is just going to take time. We hired a public adjuster to battle our own insurance company so hopefully a check will come soon. Wayne, sorry to ramble on I had some Valvetech amps in stock but....Just a bit Toasty now. I will check with Rob at Valvetech on Monday and see what he has available. What model were you interested in? I hope your wife will give me a better grade on my one finger typing. Believe it or not her mention of my use of capitol letters has helped me writing emails. Thanks again for getting in touch. Do you still have the Black Heritage 157? I feel better now than I did at the beginning of this email. The emotional roller coaster. Hebrews 12:28 Since we have a kingdom nothing can destroy, let us please God by serving him with thankful hearts, and with holy fear and awe for our God is an all consuming fire. Junior" Answer: wow...thats truly incredible to read that first hand. Junior sets a true example for all of us. I can only wish for the kind of faith it must require to remain vigilant in spite of the above. He's earned my coming support in the future, and i can only hope that i'm not alone.
