Inputs

Question:
Can you buy new inputs for your amp? My input it pretty much stripped so it always falls into the amp, which means I have to take the back off and the actual "amp" part out and get it then screw it back in which takes awhile. So, can you buy them, and are they cheap?
Answer:
Just a normal 1/4" Mono audio jack. They cost like, $.50 at RadioShack.

Yep. Just as reference, it looks as such:

the only problem is that some (and i'm guessing quite a few) guitar amps dont use those anymore

Answer:
No, just funkier 1/4"ers. Like Marshall doesn't use that type of jack anymore, they have their own kind.

Eh?
I've seen plasic inputs and whatnot before (thats what my vox has), but I think that I could even put that traditional-style jack in its place if I had to.

it also shows the Vox and the newer type Fender ones...I guess they can all be rigged to work with a regular radioshack 1/4" though.
Answer:
Yeah, I just want to be able to cut out the old one and solder on the new one and screw it in. I don't wanna have to do modding or anything.
Answer:
Gotta take a look in the amp to check. You'd have to take the amp out of the chassis, and look at how the input is stuck in there.
Answer:
I have everytime I have to fix it, but what am I looking for? (sorry, I am confused)

(sorry, I am confused) the "different" jacks just use different ways of running a ground, take my SX200c, the actual jack is isolated from the chassis ground via a a plastic "bolt." take a few pics of your amp's input jack, and put it up here, and we'll try and see if we can figure out what you need.
